Hannah has been involved in choral music for most of her life, from children’s choir at church when she was young and various community and church ensembles to her college a cappella group, where she served as Treasurer, and later, President.
After graduating from Furman University in 2013 with a BA in French, teaching English in Nîmes, France for a year, and then earning her MA in French at the University of Virginia, Hannah moved to Lyon, France, to teach English at the Université Lumière Lyon 2, where she spent the better part of her twenties surrounded by a great deal of excellent cheeses, but sadly, no musical outlet.
After moving to Lynchburg with her husband in 2022, she was eager to reconnect with the world of choral singing, and was delighted to discover the nascent Seven Hills Chorus. She has served as Chorus Manager for the SHC since Fall 2023, and is thrilled to support the creative energy of the group by helping to foster an organized, encouraging space for singers to thrive.
