A graduate of Shenandoah Conservatory with a bachelor’s degree in Choral/General Music Education and a master’s degree in choral conducting, Davis is currently a professor of voice at Sweet Briar College, the founder and Artistic Director of The Seven Hills Chorus, and owner of Davis Voice Studio. Previously he was the choral teacher at E.C. Glass High School in Lynchburg VA. He has been the music director of productions such as: Charlie and the Chocolate FactoryYou’re a Good Man Charlie BrownMary PoppinsSingin’ in the Rain. Davis has also been a vocal coach for productions of Into the Woods and Chorus Director of Tosca.

As a soloist, Davis has sung with Grammy award-winning conductors both as a student and as a professional. In 2015, he was the top-placing vocalist in the Shenandoah Conservatory Student Solo Competition and 3rd place overall against undergraduate and graduate students of various instruments.  He has performed in opera choruses for productions of Don Giovanni, The Marriage of Figaro, and Die Fledermaus.  A frequent performer of oratorio and concert works, he has performed as a soloist in works such as Faure’s Requiem, Jephte by Giacomo Carissimi, Anton Bruckner’s Te Deum, Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem, G.F. Handel’s Messiah, and Schubert’s Magnificat. He has toured through Europe as a concert soloist and has studied voice in Salzburg Austria.
